Woracziczky von Pabienitz
Woracziczky von Pabienitz (Czech Voračičtí z Paběnic ) is an old Bohemian gentry family.
According to an unknown source, the Woraziczky have been traceable since the beginning of the 14th century and come from the area of Pabienitz, a manorial estate near Kuttenberg in Eastern Bohemia . The name addition Woracziczky comes from a short-term residence at the Woracicz fortress near Tábor . They have had this name since 1510. a. with varying duration manorials in Proseč , Purschitz , Hermannitz , Smilkov , Flanitz, today a district of Hussinetz and Mor. The Thirty Years' War saw her on the side of re-catholicization in Bohemia . They were opponents of the Evangelical Lutheran Swedes and shared two lines: the Counts of Woracziczky von Pabienicz (ennobled 1704) and the Counts Woracziczky-Bissingen (ennobled 1783). The most famous person at this time was Johann Christoph Ignaz , at the beginning of the 18th century professor of theology at Charles University in Prague and rector of Ferdinand University at St. Kliment.
Franz Hellfried Graf Woracziczky, Baron von Pabienicz, district chief of the Elbogner Kreis, Kgl. Bohemian court chamber judge, genealogist (born November 23, 1677, died in Prague on October 6, 1719, buried in the grave of Maria Schnee) was placed in the Bohemian count Vienna August 21, 1704 together with his brothers Adalbert the Younger and Leopold, Imperial Grenadier Captain, fallen at Asti in Italy; he was married in 2nd marriage to Mamimiliane Zaruba von Hustirzan († 1733), granddaughter of the Bohuslaw III couple. Zaruba von Hustirzan († 1647) and Anna Katharina Woracziczky von Pabienicz, daughter of Johann Albrecht Ritter Woraczisky von Pabienicz auf Prczicz and Katharina Chrt von Ertin.
Christoph Norbert Freiherr Woracziczky von Pabienicz, captain of the Königgrätzer Kreis, married Maria Magdalena Alsterle von Astfeld (* 1710) in 1729, of whose two children the son: Anton Joseph Count Woracziczky, Freiherr von Pabienicz, died 1795, was raised to the bohemian count ( Vienna May 13, 1783) and with Anna Countess von Batthyany, who was the heir of his uncle Johann Heinrich Graf von Bissingen, the progenitor of the extinct counts of Woracziczky-Bissingen. Name and coat of arms association dd Persenburg June 24, 1820 for the previous sons Joachim Heinrich Graf von Woracziczky-Bissingen (* 1780, died 1838) and Johann Anton Graf von Woracziczky-Pabienitz (* 1787, died 1829). The daughter Maria Anna Freiin Woracziczky von Pabienicz married Johann Wenzel Ritter Hrussowsky von Hrussow in 1764.
A branch of this old noble family is said to continue to exist.
