The first written mention of the village of Bogusouici , which belongs to St. Peter's Church in Brno , was made in 1141 in the property register of the Diocese of Olomouc by Bishop Heinrich Zdik . At the beginning of the 13th century the goods belonged to Vilém von Dambořice. In 1298 a fortification was first mentioned on the Kopec, later a fortress was built as a mansion on the right side above the headland. Other owners of Bošovice were the lords of Kunstadt in the 14th century and the lords of Cimburg at the end of the same . The parish was first mentioned in 1365. Three years later, the pastor was represented by Wilhelm von Kunstadt in a dispute with the Olomouc chapter. In the 15th century the families of Pačlavice, Doubravice and Zajíc von Valdek became the landlords. In 1481 Aleš von Polanka and Okarec was registered in the land register as the owner of the Bošovice farm. His descendants, who called themselves Bošovský from Polanka ( Bošovští z Polanky ), held the goods until 1574. In the same year Bošovice was raised to a town. The Bošovský were followed as landlords by the Mouřínovký from Mezilesice and the Palastaj from Kasejov.

The owners of the estate had been Utraquists since the 15th century and the parish was also occupied by Protestant pastors during this time. After the Battle of White Mountain , the parish became extinct in 1622 and Bošovice was incorporated into Otnice . In 1627 Maximilian I von Liechtenstein bought Bošovice and added the goods to his rule Ždánice . In 1671 a Catholic parish was established again in Bošovice.

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Bošovice / Boschowitz from 1850, a market town in the district administration Auspitz . In 1925 the tenant František Skopalík bought the fortress with the associated farm buildings from the princes of Liechtenstein. In 1930 there were 1207 people in Bošovice.
