history
The village was probably founded in the 11th or 12th century. The first written mention of the place was in 1353 as the property of Jindřich von Nevojice. The church can be traced back to 1378. To the south of the church there was a fortress on the site of today's parish garden. Jakub Konček von Prusy was one of the numerous, often changing owners at the end of the 14th century. He was followed by the Vladiken von Oynitz at the beginning of the 15th century . Tas von Oynitz bought Bučovice in 1511 and united the estate with its surrounding estates into one dominion. He died without male descendants and the rule fell to Wenzel von Boskowitz in 1533 , who was married to Ta's daughter Anna. In 1597, with the death of Jan Šembera Černohorský von Boskowitz, the Boskowitz family also died out in the male line. The inheritance came to Katharina Černohorská and her husband Maximilian I of Liechtenstein . The mill on the Leitha also belonged to the village, which was located below the dam after the mill pond was dammed. During the Thirty Years War Nevojice was burned down by the Swedes. The parish also went out. In the 1670s the church was restored with the support of the Princes of Liechtenstein. Nevojice was expanded to the east in the second half of the 17th century. First a settlement of Podsedeken emerged , then the Hofer Chaluppen . The chapel was made a locality in 1784. In 1785 a village school was built together with the chaplain. In 1834, 312 people lived in 53 houses in Nevojice.
After the abolition of patrimonial Nevojice formed from 1850 a municipality in the district administration Wischau . In 1869 a parish was set up again in Nevojice, to which Letošov was also parish. In the 1870s, the railway line from Brno via Hungarian Hradisch to the Wlarapass was built in the Litava Valley and inaugurated in 1887. In 1889 the school moved into a newly constructed building. In the same year, the school youth planted several linden trees on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the throne of Emperor Franz Josef I. In 1920 the Nevojice railway station was established. In 1924 Nevojice was electrified. The new state road 50 from Brno to Uherské Hradiště was opened to traffic in 1939. Between 1949 and 1959 the community belonged to the Okres Bučovice and after its abolition came back to the Okres Vyškov at the beginning of 1961 . The village has been connected to the gas supply since 1996. In March 2008 a storm knocked over the last imperial linden tree, which had become a symbol of the village. In the recreation area in the woods of the Steinitz Forest there is an outdoor pool.
