The U Slepice (German Mitterberg ) is at 438 meters the highest point in the Steinitzer Forest , Czech Republic . It is located four kilometers north of the city of Ždánice .

The U Slepice is located in the middle of extensive forests on the main ridge in the Steinitzer Forest Nature Park ( Ždánický les in Czech ). The U Vrby nature reserve is to the east of the hilltop. One of the most important oil deposits in Moravia is located on the U Slepice , and numerous drilling rigs have been built since 2005.

Surrounding elevations are the Strašník (340 m) and Nebštich (377 m) in the north, Kalvice (394 m) and U Boudy (395 m) in the east, southeast the Červená hora (406 m), in the south the Stará hora (363 m) ), southwest of the Prostřední vrch (416 m) and west of the Rádlovec (425 m). The U Slepice is the headwaters of several streams. The Slepice rises on the northwest slope, the Kloboučka to the north, the Lovčický potok to the southeast, the Jordánek on the southern slope and the Trkmanka to the southwest.
