Zbýšov , until 1921 Zbejšov (German Sbischow ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located 15 kilometers southeast of the city center of Brno and belongs to the Okres Vyškov . In 1805 the battle of Austerlitz took place in the hallways of the community .
geography
Zbýšov is located between the Drahaner Bergland and the Steinitz Forest in the foothills of the Thaya-Schwarza valley basin . The village lies east of the Pracký Kopec ( Pratzeberg ) in the valley of the Litava ( Littawa ). The railway line from Brno to Přerov runs through the village .
Neighboring towns are Kruh and Blažovice in the north, Křenovice in the northeast, Hrušky in the east, Šaratice and Kavriánov in the south, Hostěrádky-Rešov in the southwest and Prace in the northwest.
history
Zbýšov was first mentioned in a document in 1237.
The inhabitants of the village lived from agriculture and viticulture in the northern vineyard. According to old traditions of Zbýšover wine should as far as Vienna have been delivered and its quality with the Mělník have competed.
On December 2, 1805, Zbýšov was in the southeast of the battlefield of the Three Emperor Battle . After the replacement of patrimonial , the place belonged to the political district of Wischau from 1850 . Until 1921 the village was called Zbejšov. Between 1950 and 1960 Zbýšov was part of Okres Slavkov and came back to Okres Vyškov after its dissolution .
