history
Archaeological finds in the municipality show that the area has been inhabited since the early days. Alois Procházka , who worked as a teacher in Kobeřice from 1919 to 1924, made special contributions to researching the early history of the place up to the Middle Ages .
The first written mention of the village and the church was in 1283. The village Mezilesice, which has been documented since 1210, is older. This village was located in a small valley at the northeastern foot of the Písečná in the Steinitz Forest and was extinct in the Middle Ages. There were two festivals in Kobeřice. The changing owners included the Vladiken family of Věžník, the Counts of Kaunitz and the Princes of Liechtenstein .
After the abolition of patrimonial Kobeřice / Koberzitz formed from 1850 a community in the district administration Wischau . Since the 1920s, the Czechoslovak Hussite Church in the village was very popular and a Protestant prayer house was built. During the German occupation , the partisan group Olga operated in the surrounding forests of the Steinitz Forest, which was also supported by a number of Kobeřicers. Between 1949 and 1960 the community belonged to the Okres Slavkov and after its abolition came back to the Okres Vyškov . In 1986 Kobeřice was incorporated into Slavkov u Brna. Since 1990 Kobeřice has formed its own municipality again. Since July 1st, 1995 the village has been called Kobeřice u Brna
