Hostěrádky-Rešov (German Hostieradek-Reschow , older also Hesterad ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located 16 kilometers southeast of the city center of Brno and belongs to the Okres Vyškov . The battle of Austerlitz took place in the corridors of the community in 1805 .
geography
Hostěrádky-Rešov is located between the Drahaner Bergland and the Steinitz Forest in the foothills of the Thaya-Schwarza valley basin . The village is located at the south-eastern foot of the Pracký Kopec ( Pratzeberg ) in the Litava Valley ( Littawa ). The railway line from Brno to Přerov runs through the village .
Neighboring towns are Prace in the north, Zbýšov in the northeast, Hrušky and Šaratice in the east, Otnice in the southeast, Újezd u Brna in the southwest, Sokolnice in the west and Kobylnice in the northwest.
history
The first written mention of the village Malé Hostěrádky took place in 1270.
On December 2, 1805, the place was in the southeast of the battlefield of the Three Emperor Battle .
After the abolition of patrimonial Malé Hostěhrádky belonged to the political district of Wischau from 1850 . In 1869 the two neighboring villages of Malé Hostěhrádky and Rešov became the municipality of Hostěhrádky, Rešov; which later bore the name Hostěhrádky-Rešov until 1921. Between 1950 and 1960 the municipality was part of the Okres Slavkov and then came back to the Okres Vyškov . Today both places have grown together.
