The Fortuna League 2020/21 (after the sponsor, the sports betting provider Fortuna ) is the 28th season of the top Czech division in men's football . It opened on August 21, 2020 with the game between Viktoria Pilsen and SFC Opava .

The defending champion is Slavia , the reigning cup winner Sparta Prague .

Changes compared to the 2019/20 season

• The field of participants was increased from 16 to 18 teams.
• The placement rounds were canceled due to the increased field of participants and the tighter schedule ( COVID-19 pandemic and European football championship 2021 ).
• There are three permanent relegation members, relegation relegation is suspended.
