The 2020/21 Süper Lig will be the 63rd season of the top Turkish league in men's football . It should open on September 11, 2020 and end on May 16, 2021 with the 42nd matchday.

Newcomer Hatayspor became the 73rd participant since the founding of the Süper Lig. BB Erzurumspor returned after a season in the 2nd division, as the play-off winner of the TFF 1st Lig rose Fatih Karagümrük SK . With the decision of the TFF on July 29, 2020, 21 teams will take part in the 2020/21 season. The relegated teams from the previous season : Yeni Malatyaspor , MKE Ankaragücü and Kayserispor will be allowed to take part in the 2020/21 season.

Participants and stages

A total of 21 teams take part in the season. The 18 teams from the previous season ( Süper Lig 2019/20 ) and the three promoted teams from the second-highest division of the TFF 1st Lig ( 2019/20 ) qualified for the Süper Lig 2020/21 .
