1st Lig 1984/85

The 1st Lig 1985/86 was the 28th season of the highest Turkish league in men's football . It began on August 31, 1985 with the game Galatasaray Istanbul against Samsunspor , which went 2-0 and ended on June 1, 1986. A winter break was waived in this season.

Beşiktaş Istanbul became the first and thus Turkish champion . It was the seventh title in the club's history for Beşiktaş. Galatasaray Istanbul ended the season with equal points and no defeat and had to be satisfied with the runner-up because of the worse goal difference.

The newcomer Samsunspor caused a surprise with his third place this season. An important part of this success was the striker Tanju Çolak . With 33 goals, he scored more than half of the goals for his team and was also the top scorer.

Attendees

For the 1st Lig 1985/86 the four promoted teams from the last second division season have been added to the 16 clubs that remained from the previous season .
