Bora Öztürk (born May 20, 1955 in Istanbul ; † August 6, 1997 there ) was a Turkish football player .

Career

Bora Öztürk began his career in the 2nd division at Şekerspor . He then moved to Izmir and played two seasons each for Göztepe and Altay . For the 1979/80 season he went to the traditional club Beşiktaş Istanbul . He scored six goals in his first season and was then awarded to Adanaspor . Öztürk scored 15 goals for Adanaspor and was the top scorer in the 1980/81 season. With his goals, he was an important part of the runner-up that the team reached this season. He returned to Beşiktaş and was one of the regulars for the next two seasons. In 1982 he became Turkish champions for the first time in his career with Beşiktaş.

In the first half of the 1983/84 season Öztürk was only a supplementary player, which is why he was awarded to Antalyaspor for the rest of the season . In 1986 he became Turkish champion for the second time and ended his career at Zonguldakspor in 1988 .

Öztürk made his only international match for Turkey on October 7, 1981 against the Soviet Union.

Bora Öztürk died on August 6, 1997 of complications from cancer.
