Cemil Turan (* 1947 in Istanbul ) is a former Turkish football player and official.

Player career

Cemil Turan has been playing football since he was 14. His career began in 1962 with Sarıyer, where he has already scored 103 goals. In 1968 he moved first to Istanbulspor, four years later to Fenerbahçe Istanbul. He spent his most successful time there: with Fenerbahçe he won three championships (1974, 1975, 1978) and was the top scorer of the Turkish league in 1974 (14 goals), 1976 and 1978 (17 goals each) . For Fenerbahçe he scored 194 goals in 304 games, making him the fourth most successful goalscorer in the club's history after Zeki Rıza Sporel (470 goals), Lefter Küçükandonyadis (432 goals) and Aykut Kocaman (200 goals).

National team

For the Turkish national football team, he completed 44 games in which he scored 19 goals. 1980 Cemil ended his football career. Today Cemil Turan works as coordinator at Fenerbahçe.
