Zeki Rıza Sporel (* 28. February 1898 in Istanbul ; † 4. November 1969 ) was a Turkish football player and one of the most successful goal scorers of Turkish football .
Player career

Zeki started his career in the youth teams of Fenerbahçe Istanbul . In 1915 he made the leap into the senior team as a striker . In the next 18 years at Fenerbahçe he scored 470 goals in 332 games, an average of 1.42 goals per game. With his 470 goals for Fenerbahçe, he is still the most successful goalscorer in the club's history. In the seasons 1920/21, 1922/23, 1929/30 and 1932/33 he won the Istanbul championship with Fenerbahçe, a national league did not exist at that time. With his goals for Fenerbahçe, he made a significant contribution to the fact that the club achieved 66 wins, 2 draws and not a single defeat in the middle of the First World War or from 1914 to 1921 of the 68 games against the selection teams of the military occupiers of Istanbul from England and France.
National team
Zeki went down in Turkish football history because he scored the first goal for the newly founded Turkish republic in the first game of the newly founded Turkish national team - a friendly against Romania on October 26, 1923 in Istanbul's Taksim Stadium . In the 4-2 win against Finland on June 17, 1924 - the first victory of the Turkish national team - Zeki Rıza Sporel met four times and scored all of Turkey's goals.
