The İstanbul Cuma Ligi ( German Friday League Istanbul ) was a city championship that was held six times in Istanbul between 1915 and 1923 . Due to the occupation of Istanbul , the Friday League did not take place from 1918 to 1920.
founding
The planning of the Cuma Ligi began in 1912 under the leadership of the associations Anadoluspor, Darülfünun, Terbiye-i Bedeniye, Türk İdman Ocağı, Mümaresatı Bedeniye, Şehremini and Fenerbahçe Istanbul . In the same year the First Balkan War began , which postponed the start of the city championship to 1915.
