Morrison's design is characterized by a reduced and at the same time elegant design. Together with the Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa , he conceived an exhibition and wrote a book in which he deals with the “super normal”, a form of design for everyday objects that is characterized by subtle improvements to classic types but not necessarily recognizable. On the grounds of his London studio, Morrison continues this concept when he juxtaposes his own designs and, so to speak, nameless objects from all over the world in a discreet sales room, i.e. deliberately refrains from displaying his own designs. “The quality of design should be conveyed less through its shape than through its use.” Morrison stands in the tradition of the design concept of Dieter Rams or Max Bill .

Morrison has received numerous prestigious design awards, including a. the red dot design award , the iF Design Award , the Design Plus Award and the Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany . The first comprehensive retrospective of his work took place in 2017 in the Grassimuseum Leipzig.
