Özer Umdu (born January 1, 1952 in Balıkesir ) is a former Turkish football player .

Club career

Umdu started his career in his home country at Balıkesirspor . He and his teammates were promoted to the 1st Lig after the 1974/75 season. After his first season in the 1st Lig, the striker moved to league rivals Zonguldakspor and then to Adanaspor . At Adanaspor Umdu experienced his only sporting success. He was the top scorer of the 1978/79 season with 15 goals. After another season in Adana, he went to Beşiktaş Istanbul and returned to Adanaspor after a year. He played there for four years and ended his career in 1984.
