1st Lig 1980/81

The 1st Lig 1981/82 was the 24th season of the highest Turkish league in men's football . It began on September 5, 1981 and ended on June 13, 1982. From January 3, 1982 to February 21, 1982 the season was interrupted by the winter break.

Beşiktaş Istanbul was the first and thus Turkish champion of the season and won the Turkish championship again after 15 years. With this championship it was possible to get this trophy for the fourth time and also broken the dominance of Trabzonspor after three seasons. This dominated the period from 1975 to 1984 with his great team that is better known as Karadeniz Fırtınası the Turkish football and got the most titles.

The league has been increased to a total of 17 teams this season by another team. Due to the uneven number of teams, a different team paused every game day and the league had a total of 24 game days.

Attendees

For the 1st Lig 1981/82 the remaining 13 clubs from the previous season were joined by the four promoted teams from the last second division season . The climbers were once the three second division champions Göztepe Izmir , Sakaryaspor and Diyarbakırspor and, besides the shelf, the Turkish Cup winner MKE Ankaragücü . While the rise for Sakaryaspor meant the first first division participation in the club's history, MKE Ankaragücü returned with the rise after four years in the first league. Göztepe and Diyarbakırspor achieved direct resurgence through the second division championship.
