2. Lig Aategorisi 2004/05

The 2004/05 Süper Lig was the 47th season of the top Turkish league in men's football . It started on August 6, 2004 with the game Çaykur Rizespor against Fenerbahçe Istanbul and ended on May 28, 2005 with the 34th matchday. From December 20, 2004 to January 27, 2005 the season was interrupted by the winter break.

Turkish champion was Fenerbahçe Istanbul . Relegated were Sakaryaspor , İstanbulspor and Akçaabat Sebatspor . The Turkish cup winner was Galatasaray Istanbul .

Attendees

For the Süper Lig 2004/05, the 15 clubs that remained from the previous season were joined by the three promoted teams from the last second division season . The climbers were the first and second place in the 2nd league Sakaryaspor and Ankaraspor and the sixth Kayserispor . While Sakaryaspor returned after five years and Kayserispor after six years, Çaykur Rizespor managed to rise again immediately. For Ankaraspor it was the first first division participation in their club history.

In the second division season 2003/04 Kayserispor finished the season in sixth, but they rose because the runner-up Kayseri Erciyesspor transferred the promotion rights to Kayserispor by swapping roles with Kayserispor. You exchanged both the name and the entire team with Kayserispor, so Kayserispor rose with the Kayseri Erciyesspor squad. Erciyesspor initially stayed in the 2nd league before it rose to the Süper Lig a year later as the second club from Kayseri .
