Souleymane Youla (born November 29, 1981 in Conakry , Guinea ) is a Guinean football player .

Career

Youla began his professional career in Belgium, where he played for SC Lokeren and RSC Anderlecht . In 2001 he moved to Gençlerbirliği Ankara in Turkey, although he was champion with Anderlecht . He played there for 4 years and performed so well that Beşiktaş Istanbul noticed him. There he couldn't get by, showed poor performance and was verbally attacked by the audience. He then switched to FC Metz on loan during the winter break . After playing there for half a year, he moved from Beşiktaş to Lille OSC . At the beginning of the 2008/09 season he was awarded to the Turkish first division promoted Eskişehirspor . Here he scored 13 goals in 24 games. The Turkish club signed him for three years after the 2008/2009 season.

In 2004 he took part in the Africa Cup with Guinea . Guinea finished 2nd in their group, but were eliminated in the quarter-finals against Mali . Youla played in all 4 games. In total, he was used in 36 international matches and scored 17 goals.
