The Türkiye 2. Futbol Ligi Aategorisi 2003/04 was the 41st season of the second highest Turkish league in professional men's football. It started on August 24, 2003 with the 1st matchday and ended on May 16, 2004 with the 34th and final matchday.
In the 2003/04 season, as in the previous season, it was designed as a single-track league with 18 teams. At the end of the season, the teams in the first three places in the table were promoted directly to the higher 1st Lig and the teams in the last three places in the table were relegated to the lower 2nd Lig B CATEGORY .
At the beginning of the season, three relegated teams from the 1st Lig Altay Izmir , Göztepe Izmir , Kocaelispor and the two promoted Karşıyaka SK , Türk Telekomspor , Kayseri Erciyesspor from the third-class Türkiye 2nd Futbol Ligi Bategorisi were added to the 12 teams remaining from the previous season .
Sakaryaspor finished the season as champions and rose again to the highest Turkish league after a five-year absence. The table positions two and three occupied Kayseri Erciyesspor and Büyükşehir Belediye Ankaraspor (short: BB Ankaraspor ). For BB Ankaraspor it was the first ascent in their club history to the 1st Lig .
The second-placed Kayseri Erciyesspor transferred the promotion rights to the sixth-placed Kayserispor by swapping roles . You exchanged both the name and the entire team with Kayserispor, so Kayserispor rose with the Kayseri Erciyesspor squad. Erciyesspor initially stayed in the 2nd Futbol Ligi A before it rose to the Süper Lig a year later as the second club from Kayseri . At the end of the season, Adana Demirspor , Göztepe Izmir and İzmirspor were relegated .
The top scorer of the league was Ümit İnal from the west Turkish representative Altay Izmir with 21 goals .
