The Bank Asya 1. Lig 2009/10 was the 47th season of the second highest Turkish league in football men. It started in August 2009 and was ended on May 23, 2010 with the play-off final. At the same time, the Süper Lig started in the 2009/10 season .
Kardemir Karabükspor secured promotion to the Turkcell Süper Lig with a 3-0 away win against Çaykur Rizespor on matchday 30 . A game day earlier, Kocaelispor was the first relegated team of the 2009/10 season. Kocaelispor fell from the 1st to the 3rd division within two seasons. Bucaspor and Konyaspor have also risen . Bucaspor only came to the second division this season and made it directly to the Süper Lig. Konyaspor, on the other hand, made a direct return to the first class. In addition to Kocaelispor, Hacettepespor and Dardanelspor have been relegated. All three relegated players only played one year in the second division
