Mehmet Batdal (born February 24, 1986 in Izmir ) is a Turkish football player .
Club career
Mehmet Batdal started his football career at Bucaspor when he was 13 . At the age of 19, the striker was accepted into the first team. In his first season, Batdal played 21 games, scoring two goals. In the 2006/07 season he came to 20 games and five goals. During the winter break of the 2007/08 season he was awarded to city rivals Altay İzmir . He then returned in the summer. With Bucaspor he was promoted from the 3rd Turkish league to the 2nd league in 2009 .
The following season was just as successful for him. He made it through to the Süper Lig with Bucaspor . However, Mehmet Batdal played a large part in this success. In 30 games he scored 16 goals and was, together with Emmanuel Emenike von Kardemir Karabükspor, the second top scorer in the 2009/10 season.
His contract expired at the end of the 2009/10 season, which is why the traditional Turkish club Galatasaray Istanbul signed him on a free transfer. He signed a three-year contract there. Batdal was awarded to Konyaspor for the second half of the 2010/11 season . Under Fatih Terim , Batdal was loaned to Kardemir Karabükspor . Karabükspor broke off the loan deal in December 2011. He returns to Galatasaray.
For the 2012/13 season he was loaned to his old club Bucaspor , the club also secured a purchase option for Batdal. For Bucaspor, Batdal scored 12 goals in 33 games. After Batdal was not nominated for Fatih Terim's training camp , the striker Galatasaray was allowed to leave for free in the summer of 2013 and moved to Istanbul Büyükşehir Belediyespor . For Istanbul BB he scored 13 goals in his first season. After a spin-off and renaming of the club, Batdal has been playing for Istanbul Başakşehir FK since 2014 .
