Alparslan Erdem (born December 11, 1988 in Vechta ) is a German - Turkish soccer player . He plays in the left back position.
Club career
In his youth, Erdem played for 1. FC Varenesch in Goldenstedt , TuS Lutten, SFN Vechta and Blau-Weiß Lohne . In 2003 he moved to the Werder Bremen youth team. In the last season of the Regionalliga Nord 2006/07 Erdem was appointed to the second team. Alparslan made his debut for the green and white team on May 6, 2007 against Borussia Dortmund's second team , and he played three games this season. The 2007/08 season played the U-21 international as a regular on the left side of defense and came to 34 games.
He made his last game for Bremen before moving to Turkey against SpVgg Unterhaching in the new 3rd division .
On August 2, 2008, he signed a contract with Galatasaray Istanbul , which ran until June 30, 2011. In the year and a half at Galatasaray Alparslan came to two games in the Turkcell Süper Lig, so Galatasaray let him move to Gençlerbirliği Ankara during the winter break of the 2009/10 season . After a year and a half at Ankara and twelve appearances as a substitute, Erdem moved to the relegated and now second division club Bucaspor . There he immediately became a regular player. The full-back made 61 league games in two seasons.
For the 2013/14 season Erdem moved to Istanbul Büyükşehir Belediyespor .
In the summer of 2019, after six years of membership in the club, Erdem left the Istanbul team, who had renamed themselves to Istanbul Başakşehir FK in the meantime, and moved to the second division club Fatih Karagümrük SK within the city .
National team
Alparslan Erdem completed nine games for the Turkish U-21 team from 2007 to 2009 and one game for the Turkish A-2 national team in 2013.
