The Türk Telekom Lig A 2006/07 was the 44th season of the second highest Turkish league in professional men's football. The relegated from the Turkcell Süper Lig were Malatyaspor , Samsunspor and Diyarbakırspor . Newcomers from the 3rd division were Gençlerbirliği OFTAŞ , Kasımpaşa Istanbul and Eskişehirspor .
Gençlerbirliği OFTAŞ managed to march through; As a newcomer, the team from Ankara managed to move up to the Turkcell Süper Lig after just one season. Second direct climber was Istanbul BB . The last ticket for the Süper Lig was also a newcomer, Kasımpaşaspor. They defeated Altay İzmir in the play-off final on penalties.
The relegated of the season were Türk Telekomspor , Akçaabat Sebatspor and Uşakspor . The telecommunications company Türk Telekom was the official sponsor of the 2nd division.
