The Bank Asya 2010/11 was the 48th season of the second highest Turkish league in football men. It began on August 20, 2010 and ended on May 29, 2011 with the play-off final.
Season course
Climbers
Champion in the 2nd Turkish league of the 2010/11 season was Mersin İdman Yurdu for the fifth time , despite being level on points with Samsunspor , Mersin Idman Yurdu had a direct win against Samsunspor (2-0). Samsunspor had drawn against Mersin Idman Yurdu at home. Mersin Idman Yurdu returns to the 1st Turkish Football League after 28 years . Samsunspor came second and became the second direct climber. Samsunspor returns to the Süper Lig after five years.
Play-offs
For the play-offs Gaziantep BB , Çaykur Rizespor , Orduspor and Tavşanlı Linyitspor had qualified, with Orduspor emerging as the winner and thus the third climber.
Relegated
Ankaraspor's participation was withdrawn and relegated to the third division before the start of the season. Diyarbakırspor sealed his relegation to the 3rd division five rounds before the end of the season and was thus the first relegated of the 2010/11 season. Diyarbakırspor played the previous season in the Süper Lig . As the last relegated club Altay İzmir had to relegate to the 3rd Turkish league. Before the last day of the match, five teams : Adanaspor , Akhisar Belediyespor , Güngören Belediyespor , Kartalspor and Altay İzmir were able to stay up on their own. Altay Izmir lost on the last matchday away in a direct duel against Adanaspor, which sealed relegation. Kartal, Akhisar and Güngören also scored points.
