Emre Özkan (born December 24, 1988 in Üsküdar in the province of Istanbul ) is a Turkish football player .

Career

In the club

Emre Özkan started club football in the youth of Feneryoluspor and moved from there in 2002 to the youth of Bağlarbaşıspor. In the same year he fell on the talent hunters of Beşiktaş Istanbul and he then moved to the youth of Beşiktaş. In February 2006 he received a professional contract here, but continued to play mainly for the reserve team and was only used in three competitive games. At the end of the season he and his team won the Turkish Football Cup .

From the 2007 season he played on loan in various Turkish teams. He spent from August 2007 to February 2008 at Zeytinburnuspor , from February 2008 to May 2008 at MKE Ankaragücü and from January 2009 to May 2009 at Eskişehirspor .

In the summer of 2009 he was awarded to Orduspor for a season . Here he knew how to convince, so that his loan period was extended for another season. In his second season, he and his club made it to the top Turkish league, the Süper Lig . At the end of the season, a planned change did not materialize because of the excessively high transfer fee; so the loan period was extended for another season. In his first Süper Lig season, he came to 18 league games.

In the summer of 2013 he moved to Kardemir Karabükspor within the league . After two and a half seasons, he moved to second division Kayseri Erciyesspor in January 2016 .

In the national team

Özkan started playing for the Turkish national youth teams early on. He went through the U-18, U-19 and the U-21 youth team.

In addition, he was nominated once for the second selection of the Turkish national team in 2011 , but was not used.
