İrfan Başaran (born December 20, 1989 in Yüreğir ) is a Turkish football player .

Career

İrfan Başaran started with club football in the youth of Marmaris Belediye GSK and moved from there in 2002 to the youth of Galatasaray Istanbul . In 2002 he received a professional contract here, but only continued to play for the youth teams and later for the reserve team. He took part with the professional team in the season preparation camp for the 2008/09 season, but was then added to the list of players to be loaned out. So he spent the season with the then third division Beylerbeyi SK .

For the 2009/10 season he then moved, including the transfer fee, to the then TFF 1st Lig club Orduspor . In his first season he came to regular assignments. In his second season he was much less used, but made it to the top Turkish league, the Süper Lig, with his club . With his two goals in the play-off phase, Başaran played a key role in this success. In his first Süper Lig season, he came to eight league games.

For the 2012/13 season, Başaran was loaned to the new second division side Adana Demirspor . For the winter transfer period 2012 he left Adana Demirspor after a contract termination. For the second half of the 2012/13 season, Başaran was loaned to Bucaspor .

In the summer of 2013, Başaran finally left Orduspor after four years and moved to Samsunspor within the TFF 1st Lig . After the change to Samsunspor did not materialize in the last instance, Başaran moved to Kahramanmaraşspor . Already during the next winter break he left this club for league rivals Fethiyespor .

In the summer of 2014 he moved to the third division club Yeni Malatyaspor . With this club he reached the championship and thus promotion to the TFF 1st Lig on the 34th matchday of the 2014/15 season, the last matchday of the season . With this club he finished the 2016/17 season as runner-up and rose with him to the Süper Lig. For the 2017/18 season he was signed by the second division Boluspor . In the summer of 2018 he moved on to third division team Samsunspor .

National team career

Başaran started playing for the Turkish national youth teams at an early age. He went through the U-17 and U-18 youth teams from U-16 .
