Career

society

Güneş began from 1997 to run for the reserve team of the first division club Gaziantepspor . In April 2000 he received a professional contract here and became part of the professional team. For the next season he was given to the second club Gaziantep Büyükşehir Belediyespor . He also left this club after half a season and then played for Gaskispor before returning to Gaziantep BB at the end of the season. Here he also played only half a season and then moved back to his old club Gaziantepspor in spring 2002. At this club he quickly established himself as a regular this time. He finished the season with his team in 6th place in the table. Gaziantepspor started the new season with the new coach Gheorghe Mulțescu . Under this coach Güneş lost his regular place, but came on as a substitute regularly. After Mulțescu was replaced by Nurullah Sağlam in February 2003 , Güneş immediately regained a regular place under this coach. At the end of the season Güneş 'team finished the league in 4th place in the table and thus repeated the second-best first division placement in the club's history. With five league goals, Güneş was one of the most successful goal scorers of his team. This success was repeated in the next season. After only the 9th place in the table could be reached in the 2004/05 season, Sağlam was replaced by Faruk Hadžibegić in the summer of 2005 . After Sağlam's departure, Güneş gradually lost his regular place and was then given up to league rivals Kayserispor in spring 2007 .

After Güneş had played a year for Kayserispor, he returned to Gaziantepspor, as Nurullah Sağlam was hired again as a coach. Since Sağlam left the club again at the end of the season, Güneş also left the team and went to the second division Altay Izmir . With this club he qualified for the playoffs of the TFF 1. Lig at the end of the season , but failed in the semifinals at Kasımpaşa Istanbul and thus missed promotion to the Süper Lig . For the new season he moved to the first division promoted Diyarbakırspor . After this club missed relegation at the end of the season, Güneş moved to the second division Mersin İdman Yurdu . At this club, Güneş 'great supporter Nurullah Sağlam took over as coach in October 2010. With this, the second division season 2010/11 was completed with the second division championship and thus with the promotion to the Süper Lig.

After the rise Güneş 'contract was not extended and so he moved to his penultimate club Altay Izmir. For this club he played two and a half years in the TFF 2nd Lig and returned to Gaziantep Büyükşehir Belediyespor for the second time in spring 2014.

National team

Güneş played several times for the Turkish U-17 national team and for the U-21 national team . In 2005 he also played a game for the second selection of the Turkish national team , for the Turkish A2 national team.
