Selçuk Şahin (born March 26, 1983 in Munich ) is a German - Turkish soccer player .

Career

Şahin was born in Munich as the son of Turkish guest workers . He grew up in Germany and learned to play football in the youth departments of various amateur clubs. For the 2005/06 season he hired the upper division SSV Ulm 1846 and made two league games here.

At that time he was being watched by some talent hunters. For the new season there was an offer from the Turkish second division club Kartalspor and so he moved to Turkey. He then moved to Hacettepe in 2008 and played here for two seasons.

In the summer of 2010 he then moved to the second division Orduspor . Here he made the breakthrough to become a regular player straight away. In 2010/11 he and his team were promoted to the Süper Lig . In his first Süper Lig season he lost his regular place, but came as a substitute in 17 league games.

After Şahin remained without a club in the first half of the 2013/14 season, he was hired for the second half of the second division side Adanaspor . In the summer of 2015 he was signed by the third division Gümüşhanespor .
