The Türkiye 2. Futbol Ligi 1991/92 was the 29th season of the second highest Turkish league in professional men's football. It was started on August 31, 1991 with the 1st game day and ended on May 17, 1992 with the 34th and final game day. Subsequently, from May 21 to May 23, 1992, the qualification for the Balkan Cup between the three group winners took place.

In the 1991/92 season, the TFF 1st Lig was divided into three groups, as in the previous season. There were 18 teams in "Group A" (A Grubu) and "Group B" (B Grubu) and 17 teams in "Group C" (C Grubu) for promotion to the Süper Lig or against relegation in the then third-class TFF 3rd Lig . The division of the teams into the respective groups was partly taken over from the previous season, only the newly added and relegated teams were assigned to the respective groups by drawing lots.

The top of the table of all three groups rose directly to the higher Süper Lig . The teams in the last three places in the table of all groups were relegated to the TFF 3rd Lig .

At the start of the season, the 41 teams remaining from the previous season were the three relegated teams from the Süper Lig Adanaspor , Karşıyaka SK , Zeytinburnuspor and the nine newly promoted teams from the third-class TFF 3. Lig Üsküdar Anadolu SK , Küçükçekmecespor , Kayserispor , Bafraspor , Ispartaspor , Manisporaspor , Bozüyükspor , Muşspor and Tarsus İdman Yurdu have been added.

Kocaelispor reached the championship of Group A at the end of the season and rose again to the Süper Lig after a four-year absence . In the group B reached Karşıyaka SK direct resurgence with the championship. Kayserispor reached the group C championship on matchday 28 and rose again to the Süper Lig after six years of abstinence.

End of the season were from the Group A teams Eskişehirspor , Fatih Karagümrük SK , Kasımpaşa Istanbul , from the Group B teams Bozüyükspor , Altınordu Izmir , Gönenspor and out of Group C are the teams Hatayspor , Elazığspor , Şekerspor staying.

Karşıyaka SK qualified for the Balkan Cup with a 1-0 final victory over Kayserispor .

The top scorer in the entire league and Group A was Saffet Sancaklı from the West Anatolian representative Kocaelispor with 28 goals . In the group B was treated with 27 hits Erhan Kiremitçi of Karşıyaka SK scorer, while in group C Muammer Nurlu of Kayserispor was charged with 21 scorer.

Qualification for the Balkan Cup

In order to determine the participant for the Balkan Cup , a two-stage qualification tournament was held among the top three in the group at the end of the season. Since the fourth team was missing for a two -year knockout system , one team went straight to the final of the qualification by driving off, while the other two group winners had to play off the second finalist in a semi-final match. Here Karşıyaka SK came directly to the final by lot, while Kocaelispor and Kayserispor had to play the second finalist.

	With this victory, Kayserispor reached the final of the qualifying of the Balkan Cup.
