Küçükçekmecespor is a Turkish football club from Küçükçekmece . With many ascents and descents in a short time, especially in the 1990s, Küçükçekmecespor can be described as an elevator team .

history

Foundation and early years

Küçükçekmecespor was founded in Eminönü in 1911 as Süleymaniye Sirkeci , blue and orange were chosen as the club colors. However, the colors were later changed to black and white to avoid confusion with Fenerbahçe Istanbul . From 1914 to 1924 and from 1926 to 1949 the club played in the Istanbul Ligi .

1970 Küçükçekmecespor succeeded for the first time promotion to the 3rd Lig , but rose again in the 1976/77 season. Then you could get promoted again and rose in the 1981/82 season even in the 2nd Lig . In the 1984/85 season they rose again to the 3rd Lig. In 1990 the club moved to Küçükçekme and changed the club name to today's name Küçükçekmecespor, the club colors were also changed, this time it was decided to go green and white.

Modern times

In the 1990/91 season the club rose to the 2nd league and in 1993 they were relegated to the 3rd league until 1999 . Lig , but had to accept relegation again the following season, with 40 points collected they ended up in 17th place, third from bottom and a goal difference of −14. Karsspor had the same number of points as Küçükçekmecespor, but had the better goal difference with −10 and was able to hold the class.
