The Štadión Myjava is a football stadium in the Slovak town of Myjava at the foot of the White Carpathians . It is the sporting home of the TJ Spartak Myjava football club .

history

The 2012 promotion of Spartak Myjava made it necessary to renovate the stadium in order to adapt it to the requirements of the first division. Before the construction work, the venue consisted of the main stand and the guest block. There were standing trusses overgrown with grass on the south and east sides. On the east side there were few standing and sitting places, built on three concrete steps. A concrete barrier separated the spectators from the field.

The existing main tier A received, among other things, new seating and a new roof. Roofed grandstand C was built on the opposite side and grandstand B, also provided with a roof, behind the gate. The new tiers are covered by a steel construction with transparent Plexiglas elements. The seating is in the club colors black and white.

In 2013, a funding project was started by the national football association Slovenský futbalový zväz (SFZ). The Slovak government is providing 45 million euros for the renovation or new construction of 21 football stadiums in the country over ten years . The share for the Štadión Myjava is one million euros.

In January 2014, the national association SFZ announced that the final of the Slovak Football Cup ( Slovnaft Cup ) will be played in Štadión Myjava. On May 1, 2014, MFK Košice competed against ŠK Slovan Bratislava and won 2-1 goals in front of 2,647 spectators.

Grandstands

The stadium offers visitors 2,709 seats, which are spread over four tiers on three sides of the facility. The guest rank is at the northwest end next to the main stand. The north side is separated from a training ground behind by a high fence.
