The Türkiye 3. Futbol Ligi 1992/93 was the 22nd season of the third highest Turkish division in professional men's football. It was started on September 6, 1992 with the 1st day of play and ended on June 6, 1993 with the 30th and final day of the game.

Competition mode

In the 1992/93 season, the TFF 1st Lig was not played in nine groups, in contrast to the previous season , but was transferred to a ten-track league. The total number of teams has also been reduced from 166 to 160. These 160 teams played in ten groups with 16 teams each for promotion to the 2nd league or against relegation to the regional amateur leagues. The division of the league was carried out regionally, so that mostly all teams in a group came from neighboring or close to one another provinces . All first placed went straight to the 2nd league , while the teams relegated to the last four places in the table.

Beginning of the season were the remaining from the previous season 147 Teams nine relegated from the 2. Lig Elazığspor , Hatayspor , Ankara Şekerspor , Eskişehirspor , Kasımpaşa Istanbul , Fatih Karagümrük SK , Bozüyükspor , Gönenspor , Altınordu Izmir , the four newcomers Ankara DSİ Spor , İçel Poligücü , Dikilitaş SK , Manisa Sümerbankspor have been added. The newcomers had been accepted as champions from the then fourth-class regional amateur leagues and were allowed to take part in the third division.

Adıyamanspor ( Group 1 ), Giresunspor ( Group 2 ), Hatayspor ( Group 3 ), Yeni Sincanspor ( Group 4 ), Eskişehirspor ( Group 5 ), Çorumspor ( Group 6 ), Istanbul Büyükşehir Belediyespor ( Group 7 ), Çorluspor ( Group 8 ) , Çanakkale Dardanelspor ( Group 9 ) and Yeni Turgutluspor ( Group 10 ) achieved the championship of the 3rd Lig in their groups and thus the direct promotion to the 2nd Lig .

End of the season were from the Group 1 Silvanspor , Hakkari PTT SK , tuncelispor , Tatvanspor , from the Group 2 Gümüşhane Köy Hizmetleri , Fatsaspor , Agrispor , Ardeşen Belediyespor , from the Group 3 Hatay Sahilspor , Elbistanspor , Kadirli İdman Yurdu , Adana Gençlerbirliği , from the group 4 Kirsehirspor , Konya Yolspor , Konya Ereglispor , Silifkespor , from the group 5 Burdurgücü , Buldan Belediyespor , RSD Belediyespor , Yeni Akşehirspor , from the group 6 Amasyaspor , Sinopspor , Vezirköprüspor , Turhalspor , from the group 7 Pendikspor , Dikilitaş SK , Galata SK , Ümraniyespor , from the group 8 Bayrampaşaspor , Nişantaşıspor , Yücespor , Kirklarelispor , from the group 9 Çanspor , Keşanspor , Burhaniyespor , aS Akyazıspor and from the group 10 Selçuk Efes Spor , Alpetspor , tirespor , Alaşehirspor fixed relegated in the regional Amateurliga.

Start of the season several clubs changed their names: from Yüksekova Cilospor was Yüksekova Belediyespor from Afyonspor then Yeni Afyonspor from Yeni Dinarspor then dinars Belediyespor from Buldanspor then Buldan Belediyespor from Kilimlispor then Kilimli Belediyespor from Trakya Birlik Edirnespor then Edirnespor from Bergamaspor then Bergama Belediyespor and from Ödemişspor then Ödemiş Belediyespor .
