Çarşambaspor is a Turkish football club from Çarşamba , a city in the province of Samsun . What is striking about Çarşambaspor are the logo and the jerseys, both of which are very reminiscent of Bursaspor . The Ultras from Çarşambaspor are also called Teksas , like the Ultras from Bursaspor .

history

Foundation and early days

In 1924, the captain of Jandarma Sabri Altıner made the proposal to found a sports club. In November of the same year Çarşambaspor was then founded at a meeting of the Jandarma, as the club name was chosen Çarşamba Yeşilırmak Gençlik Kulübü . Although the club was founded in 1924, the historical year 1923 (the year of the establishment of the Turkish Republic) was chosen as the date of establishment. In the following years, the club changed its name several times to Çarşamba Gençlik Kulübü , Çarşamba Spor Kulübü and Çarşamba Belediyespor Kulübü .

In 1947, a game against Fener Gençlik in the Şehir Stadı came to a head: During the game, spectators continuously provoked Çarşambaspor player Hasan Aras. Çarşambaspor won the game 2-1, both goals scored by Aras. After the goals scored, Aras again provoked the audience with an obscene gesture. Since the governor of Samsun Rüknettin Nasuhioğlu was present at the game, he banned the club from playing for five years.

So Çarşambaspor resumed playing in the Samsun Amatoer Lig in 1952 . In the Samsun 1. Amatör Küme -Liga one was eight times champion. Çarşambaspor played for a long time in the TFF 2nd Lig and so far four years in the TFF 1st Lig .

Modern times

In the 2011/12 season, the club had to relegate with 19 points and last place in the TFF 3rd Lig. Since then, Çarşambaspor has played in the Boelgesel Amatoer Lig , in the 2013/14 season they reached third place with 47 points and missed participation in the play-off games for the TFF 3rd Lig.
