The Türkiye 3. Futbol Ligi 1995/96 was the 25th season of the third highest Turkish division in professional men's football. It was started on September 3, 1995 with the 1st day of play and ended on May 19, 1996 with the 26th and final day of play.

Competition mode

In the 1995/96 season which was TFF 1. Lig as the preseason played as a zehngleisige league. In addition, the total number of teams was reduced from 140 to 139, as Adana Polisgücü withdrew from the competition in addition to the ten regular relegators . These 139 teams played in ten groups with 14 teams each for promotion to the 2nd league or against relegation to the regional amateur leagues. Only group 3 consisted of 13 teams. The division of the league was carried out regionally, so that mostly all teams in a group came from neighboring or close to one another provinces . All first-placed teams went straight to the second league , while the last two teams in all groups were relegated. Only in group 3 was only the bottom of the table relegated.

At the start of the season, the 109 teams remaining from the previous season were the 10 relegated teams from the 2nd Lig Istanbul BB , Üsküdar Anadolu SK , Muğlaspor , Manisaspor , Ispartaspor , Tarsus İdman Yurdu , Giresunspor , Erdemir Ereğlispor , Yeni Sincanspor , Batman Belediyespor , the 20th newcomers Mardinspor , Cizrespor , Mus Adaletgücü , Genç Muratspor , Tunceli Belediyespor , Gümüşhane Doğanspor , İskenderun DÇ , Siverek Belediyespor , Diyarbakır PTT , EGO Spor , Ankara Köy Hizmetlerispor , ASKI Spor , Turhalspor , Simav Eynalspor , Bodrumspor , Akhisarspor , Denizcilik İşletmeleri SK , Kirklarelispor , Edirne DSİ , Kozlu Belediyespor have been added. The newcomers had been accepted as champions from the then fourth-class regional amateur leagues and were allowed to take part in the third division.

Bingölspor ( group 1 ), Artvin Hopaspor ( group 2 ), İskenderunspor ( group 3 ), Ankara Demirspor ( group 4 ), Ünyespor ( group 5 ), Muğlaspor ( group 6 ), Kuşadasıspor ( group 7 ), İnegölspor ( group 8 ), Nişantaşıspor ( Group 9 ) and Beylerbeyi SK ( Group 10 ) achieved the championship of the 3rd Lig in their groups and thus direct promotion to the 2nd Lig .

At the end of the season, Genç Muratspor from Group 1 , Van DSİ , Group 2 Karsspor , Ağrı Köy Hizmetleri , Group 3 Yeni Samandağspor , Group 4 Niğdespor , Altındağ Belediyespor , Group 5 Erbaaspor , DHMİ Ankara , from the Group 6 Tavşanlı Linyitspor , Bodrumspor , from group 7 Yeni Bornovaspor , Altınordu Izmir , from group 8 Sönmez Filamentspor , Denizcilik İşletmeleri , from group 9 Babaeskispor , Uzunköprüspor , and from group 10 Kilimli Belediyespor as a relegated regional league , Çışletmeleri firmly.

At the start of the season, several clubs changed their names. Thus, from Hatay Polisgücü in Yeni Samandağspor from Cetinkaya Şeker Gençlikspor in Afyon Şekerspor from PEG Profilspor in Çerkezköy Profilspor and from Sümerbank Beykozspor in Beykozspor .
