history

The club was founded in 1908 and played in the İstanbul Profesyonel Ligi for a long time .

In the summer of 1959, the club was a founding member of the newly introduced and nationally played top division, today's Süper Lig , and was a permanent member of the league for eight years. The club then lost contact with Fenerbahçe, Beşiktaş and Galatasaray. In the summer of 1971 they rose to the second highest division, today's TFF 1. Lig , from, but managed to get promoted again immediately. Until the beginning of the 1990s, Beykoz was a permanent member of the TFF 1. Lig with short interruptions. The club lost its importance due to the founding of numerous Anatolian teams, which increasingly strengthened regionally, and the change in the local population. After 1991, the club played alternately in third or fourth class until the summer of 2011, and in the summer relegated to the regional amateur league and said goodbye to Turkish professional football.

In the 1990s the association was bought up by the Sümerbank Finanzgruppe and was called Sümerbank Beykozspor for a long time .
