Adolescent years, Sarıyer SK and Beykozspor

Yürür grew up in the Turkish metropolis of Istanbul and began club football in 1955 in the youth department of Fenerbahçe Istanbul . Since he was not accepted into the professional team here, he moved to the Istanbul club Sarıyer SK in the summer of 1956 . With this club he took part in the İstanbul İkinci Profesyonel Ligi , which was newly introduced in the summer of 1956 , also known under the name İstanbul İkinci Profesyonel Küme ( German: 2nd Istanbul Professional League ). Up to this point in time there was no national league in Turkey, only regional leagues in the larger metropolitan areas, of which İstanbul Profesyonel Ligi (German: Istanbul Professional League) was the most renowned. This league only replaced the İstanbul Futbol Ligi in the summer of 1952 and was played without relegation until the summer of 1956. Since more and more clubs applied to participate in the Istanbul professional league and those responsible wanted to increase the attractiveness of this league, the 2nd Istanbul professional league was introduced. The champion of this league should henceforth replace the relegated from the 1st Istanbul professional league and meet the demand of the other Istanbul clubs. Yürür started his professional career in this league.

Through his work in this new league, he was particularly noticeable to teams from the 1st Istanbul professional league and received several offers. Yürür decided on the offer from Beykozspor and switched to this club in the summer of 1957 for a transfer deal of 12,000 Turkish lira and a monthly salary of 300 lira. Since he had an amateur contract with Sarıyer, he could leave the club for free. At this new club he established himself straight away and was in his first season with seven goals this season behind his teammate Nusret Dalkıran the second most successful goalscorer of his team. In his second season he scored eight goals this season and was together with Şirzat Dağcı the most successful goalscorer of his team. From the spring of 1959, Yürür and the team took part in the newly founded and nationwide Millî Lig (today's Süper Lig). This league replaced the regional leagues in the larger metropolitan areas, such as B. the İstanbul Profesyonel Ligi , as the highest Turkish league. In the first season of the Millî Lig , the championship was played in two rounds. In the first round, the league system took place in two separate groups. In the second round, the two group winners decided the championship among themselves in a final with a return leg. Yürür took part in the competition with his team in the white group . Here he occupied the penultimate place in the table with Beykozspor. Yürür completed all fourteen league games of his team and scored two goals.

Galatasaray Istanbul

In this first season of the Millî Lig he began to play in defensive midfield instead of in the offensive midfield as before. This new position made him attractive for several larger clubs, so that the four finest clubs Beşiktaş Istanbul , Fenerbahçe Istanbul , Galatasaray Istanbul and Karagümrük SK Yürür and his club submitted a transfer offer. To keep Yürür, his club also offered him a new contract. After these developments, those responsible kidnapped Yürür with his consent and held him in an unknown location until the start of the transfer period. With the start of the transfer period, they signed a contract with Yürür and made his move to Galatasaray legally binding. He made his debut for Galatasaray in the second game against Feriköy SK . From then on he was used by coach Leandro Remondini as a regular player, completed 34 of the possible 38 league games in his first season and became a Turkish national player. In the 1960/61 season Remondini was replaced as a player by the former Galatasaray legend Gündüz Kılıç . Under this coach, Yürür kept his regular place and delivered with his team over the entire season with arch-rivals Fenerbahçe a head-to-head race for the Turkish championship. At the end of the season, Fenerbahçe decided with one point differentiated the championship for themselves. In the summer of 1961, Yürür began his military service and was not available to his club in the league games. He took part in some training sessions with special permission and also played several games for the Turkish national team . His team ended meanwhile the first division season 1961/62 as table first and won the first Turkish championship in the club's history. Yürür won his first title at club level without having completed his competitive game for his club. In the next season, the 1962/63 season , the Millî Lig was played in two stages. The first stage was played in a two-pronged league with eleven teams each and ended in March 1963. Then the teams on positions one to six in the second stage played out the champions in a final round . Yürür dropped out due to his military service in the first stage, but returned to the team squad for the second stage. He played all 22 games of the final round and managed to defend the Turkish championship title with his team. As a result, Yürü became part of the team that was the first to win the Turkish championship twice in a row. His team also won the newly introduced Turkish Football Cup this season , becoming both the first Turkish cup winner and the first Turkish double winner. In addition, Yürür's team made it to the quarter-finals in the European Cup of National Champions of the 1962/63 season and thus achieved the best placement of a Turkish team in this competition and in all European club competitions at all. In the next four seasons, Yürür and his team missed the Turkish championship, but won the Turkish Football Cup again in the first three seasons. After four untitled seasons in the Turkish championship, long-time coach Gündüz Kılıç was replaced by Bülent Eken in the summer of 1967 . Even under this new coach, Yürür kept his regular place. After the hoped-for Turkish championship also failed to materialize with this coach, a revision was carried out in the team squad.

Izmirspor and Mersin İdman Yurdu

As a result of this revision, Yürür was given to league rivals Altınordu Izmir for a fee of 70,000 lira . In the end, however, this change did not materialize, so Yürür switched to Izmirspor before the start of the season . At this new club, he immediately established himself as a regular player. After his club relegated to the 2nd Futbol Ligi after one season , Yürür left this club.

After his departure from Izmirspor he was hired by the first division club Mersin İdman Yurdu . The decisive factor in this change was the fact that with Kadri Aytaç a former teammate of Yürür was now working as a team manager at Mersin İY and with Tarık Kutver another former comrade was in the team squad. At this club, too, Yürür immediately established himself as a top performer. His club ended the first division season 1. Lig 1969/70 in 4th place in the table and thus achieved the best first division placement in the club's history. Yürür played two more for Mersin İY after this season and then left this club in the summer of 1972.

Kasımpaşa Istanbul and Davutpaşa Istanbul

In the summer of 1972, Yürür moved to the Istanbul third division team Kasımpaşa SK . Here he immediately established himself as a top performer. After Kasımpaşa missed the declared season goal of promotion, Yürür moved within the city and the league in the role of player- coach to Davutpaşa SK .

End of career

In the summer of 1974, Yürür announced his intention to end his career with a farewell game. To this end, he received a commitment from Galatasaray and organized a game in which a selection of former and current Galatasaray players should compete against a selection team of former and current players from various first division clubs, above all from Fenerbahçe Istanbul and Beşiktaş Istanbul . For the farewell game scheduled for June 9, 1974, almost all of the popular stars and teams agreed. So Yürer said goodbye to active football with this encounter.

National team

Yürür started his national team career during his time at Sarıyer SK with a commitment for the Turkish U-18 national team. As part of a test match against the Polish U-18 national team, he was nominated for this selection and made his international debut in the first encounter against the Lebanese amateur national team. In the next two years he played five more times for the Turkish U-18s.

After moving to Galatasaray Istanbul , he was called up by then national coach Sandro Puppo for a friendly in the squad of the Turkish national team in the course of his second season for this club and made his debut in the game against the Bulgarian national team . For the next two years he was one of the constantly nominated national players. After he had completed his last international match against the Ethiopian national team on December 16, 1962 , he was not considered for almost three years. It was only in 1965 that he became interesting again for the national team and that year he played three games. After these games he went three years without a nomination.

After these three years, he was nominated again for the squad in a test match against the Polish national team and completed his last international match in this encounter on April 24, 1968.

Coaching career

He led his first job as a trainer in its previous station as a football player when he the Istanbul third division Davutpaşa SK as player-manager in charge.

In the summer of 1982 he started working as a youth coach at Galatasaray. Two years later he took over as head coach for the third division club Çorluspor for the 1984/85 season . In October 1985 he took over the third division Silivrispor as head coach and worked here until 1987. For the 1989 season he was introduced as the new coach at İstanbulspor , but stayed in this role only until November 1989 and was replaced by Ali Yavaş . In the summer of 1990 he took over Düzcespor as head coach and for the 1991/92 season Vefa Istanbul . In the 1998/99 season he coached the Istanbul club Anadolu Hisarı İdman Yurdu .
