TSYD Kupası (soccer)

The trophy of the Turkish Sports Journalists Association (Turkish: Türkiye Spor Yazarları Derneği Kupası) is a pre-season football tournament for club teams in Turkey .

Variants and modes

It has been awarded by the Association of Turkish Sports Journalists since 1963. The tournament is not held nationwide, but always regionally and is then supplemented with a city name from the respective region. Over the years, various regions have been combined and decoupled from one another or new regions have been added. Cities in which TSYD Kupası was held are Istanbul , Ankara , Izmir , Trabzon , Adana and Konya .

The TSYD Kupası (Istanbul) has not been held since summer 2000 at the request of the participating clubs.
