Çorluspor is a Turkish football club from Çorlu . The club currently plays in the Tekirdağ Süper Amatoer Lig , but was in the past for many years in the higher Turkish leagues.

history

Çorluspor was founded in 1947 as Doğanspor. When the club was founded, the club colors were black and white. In 1961 Doğanspor became Çorluspor and at the same time the club colors were changed to red-yellow.

The club was represented in the amateur league for 38 years from its inception. In the 1985/86 season, Çorluspor finally reached promotion to the third Turkish division . Immediately after promotion, Çorluspor succeeded in the championship in the third division and thus also the promotion to the second division .

After the 1988/89 season, the team rose again to the third division, where they again achieved promotion to the second division four years later, for the 1992/93 season. After 3 unsuccessful seasons in the second division, the club rose again to the third division for the 1996/97 season. The 1996/97 season ended with the club in seventh place with 52 points. The following season, the club managed to rise again to the second division and secure relegation there until the 2000/01 season. After the club relegated to the third division, he could not achieve any more success and rose to the Tekirdag Süper Amatoer Lig, in which they are still represented.
