İbrahim Tusder (born January 15, 1915 in Istanbul , † July 2001 in Izmir ) was a Turkish football player and coach . Because of his work at Galatasaray Istanbul , he is associated with this association. Tusder was the father-in-law of Şeref Has , a player from Fenerbahçe Istanbul who was popular in his days .
Player career
society
Tusder began playing football in the youth of Galatasaray Istanbul and was inducted into the professional team in 1932. This association was founded two decades earlier by high school students and still had a permanent affiliation with the association. After he was active for three seasons for the red and yellow, there was a heated controversy within the team. As a result, it came under the leadership of Ulvi Yenal and Yusuf Ziya Öniş to a separation and the establishment of Güneş SK . Tusder was among the players who left Galatasaray and joined Güneş. From the summer of 1938 one played in the İstanbul Futbol Ligi (German: Istanbul Football League ), the same league as Galatasaray. In the season 1937/38 he reached the league championship with this team.
When Güneş was dissolved after three years and most of the players returned to Galatasaray, Tusder moved to city rivals Beşiktaş Istanbul . Here he played six seasons, in which he and his team were twice masters of the Millî Küme . In the summer of 1944 he ended his active professional football career.
National team
In 1936 Tusder was nominated for the Turkish national team by the then national coach James Donnelly as part of the 1936 Summer Olympics . He made his international debut as part of a test match for this tournament. During the tournament he played his second and last international match and was eliminated from the tournament with his team in the round of 16.
Coaching career
After his playing career, he began to work as a football coach. His first activity was the Istanbul club Beykozspor for the 1952/53 season . With this club he took part in the İstanbul Profesyonel Ligi (German: Istanbul Professional League ) competition. He took over this club again in the 1959/60 season . After he had looked after the club until February 1960, he was replaced by Naci Özkaya .
In 1963 he took over the post of sports manager at Beşiktaş Istanbul and resigned from this post in September of the same year.
For the 1964/65 season he took over the Istanbul second division club Vefa SK . At the end of the season he was with this club champion of the 2nd Lig and rose to the highest Turkish league, in the 1st Lig .
After this success he took over the first division club PTT Ankara and looked after it until the winter break. For the second half of the season he took over his old club Vefa Istanbul and saved the relegation-threatened club from relegation.
At the end of the season he left Vefa again and took over the first division club Karşıyaka SK from Izmir. He could not save this relegation-threatened club from relegation. After relegation he stayed with Karşıyaka and looked after the club until the winter break.
During the winter break he left Karşıyaka and took over Vefa one last time. He reached relegation again with the strongly relegation-threatened club. Following this activity, he ended his coaching career.
