Word of his footballing talent spread quickly in the Galatasaray community, so that he was accepted into the squad of the Galatasaray football team at the age of fifteen in the 1923/24 season. At the time of his entry into the professional squad, his club played in the İstanbul Futbol Ligi (German Istanbul Football League ). Since there was no international professional league in Turkey at that time, there were regional leagues instead in metropolitan areas such as Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir , of which the İstanbul Ligi (also called İstanbul Futbol Ligi) was considered the most renowned. Despite his young age, he gradually prevailed against his direct rivals Nüzhet Abbas Öniş and Adil Giray and guarded the goal in four league games. Yenal's team missed the championship against arch-rivals Beşiktaş Istanbul this season . In his second season at Galatasaray, the 1924/25 season , Yenal finally rose to the goalkeeper and became Istanbul champions with his team. He defended this title with his team twice in a row and, after the 1927/28 season of this league did not take place, in the championship of the 1928/29 season for the fourth time in a row. After he had awarded the championship in the 1929/30 season to arch rivals Fenerbahçe Istanbul with his club, he decided the championship again for himself with his club in the 1930/31 season . Yenal scored 13 goals in ten games this season, making it by far the club's most successful goalscorer.

For Galatasaray Yenal played until the summer of 1933. After it had come to a controversy within the club in 1933, Yenal left the club with about half of the team and founded the rival club Güneş SK . Whether Yenal was still active as a player for Güneş after this separation is not documented.

In this role he was instrumental in the creation of one of the greatest controversies in the club's history. Then as only graduates or students of Galatasaray High School in the association could be active as an athlete, some important club members and athletes as demanded Eşref Sefik , Yusuf Ziya Öniş and Yenal self-evident that to secure the club future and maintaining the dominance within the Turkish football also Should allow athletes who had not attended high school. Yenal's longtime team-mate Muslihittin Peykoğlu spoke out against a rule change and also led the group to take his stand. After Eşref Şefik, one of the most important representatives of the opposing opinion, was excluded from the club, some club officials and players, including Yenal, left this and founded the Güneş SK club . This split meant that Galatasaray lost important players and did not find their way back to their old strength for a long time. This split, described as one of the biggest crises in the club's history, also meant that Galatasaray remained almost titled for about two decades and lost its importance within Turkish football. Güneş SK quickly established itself within the Istanbul Football League and also began to play for the championship. In the 1937/38 season Güneş finally won the Istanbul championship, while Galatasaray was only able to get back in the 1948/49 season after 18 years .

After both sides had come to an agreement, Güneş was dissolved in 1938. Some players and officials of this club returned to Galatasaray and others moved to other Istanbul teams. Yenal was one of the group that rejoined Galatasaray.

After his playing career, Yenal also worked in a variety of state bodies such as Ziraat Bankası , Demirbank , Başvekalet , İnhisarlar Umum Müdürlüğü , Gümrük ve Tekel Bakanlığı , Emekli Sandığı , Türk Hava Yolları , Emlak Bankası Bankası ve Türk Ticaret .

Among other things, he ensured that football established itself nationwide beyond the metropolitan areas of Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir and promoted the establishment of sports clubs in all Turkish provinces. In addition, he helped build the necessary infrastructure such as stadiums and training grounds. He was also involved in founding and establishing the nationwide Millî Lig (today's Süper Lig). This league replaced all regional leagues as the highest superordinate division in Turkish professional football.

He held the office of President Galatasarays twice in the 1950s and 1960s. Until his death he worked in various positions as a club official and was also a member of the Divan Heyeti , a kind of board of directors, for a long time .
