Haluk Ulusoy

Haluk Ulusoy (born May 6, 1958 in Trabzon ) is the former president of the Turkish Football Association (TFF).

In January 2006 he was elected to succeed Levent Bıçakçı , who had resigned under pressure from the Turkish government in connection with the incidents on the sidelines of the World Cup qualifier against Switzerland (November 16, 2005) .

He had already held this office from 1997 to 2004; During this time, the Turkish national football team's greatest success to date , the third place at the 2002 World Cup, fell . In 2004 he had to resign because he did not meet the legal requirement at the time, according to which only people with a university degree were allowed to hold the office of president of the TFF. This regulation has since been repealed by the Constitutional Court.
