Büyükçekmece Tepecikspor is a Turkish football club from the Tepecik district (Büyükçekmece) of the Büyükçekmece district of Istanbul . The association as it is today was founded on June 23, 1988.

history

founding

The association was originally founded in 1970 as Tepecik Belediyespor .

Modern times

After returning to the TFF 2nd Lig in summer 2011, the club played for a long time for promotion in the three seasons 2011/12 , 2012/13 and 2013/14 . In the 2014/15 season , the team was unable to repeat their previous year's performance and therefore played mostly for relegation. The club only secured this on the last day of the match.

In the summer of 2015, the association changed its name to Büyükçekmece Tepecikspor and thus has the name of its district Büyükçekmece in the name.
