history
Foundation and the first years
The club was founded on May 3, 1993 as a company sports club of the local court. After the club was founded, the club took part in the lowest regional amateur league and gradually worked its way up to the higher Turkish amateur leagues before advancing to the highest Turkish amateur league, the Bölgesel Amatoer Ligi (BAL), in 2005 .
In the summer of 2011, the club rose to the second highest Turkish amateur league, the Süper Amatoer Ligi , before returning to the BAL with direct promotion. In the BAL season, the club under the leadership of coach Sadullah Acele, a former national player, went head-to-head with Zonguldak Kömürspor for the championship. After taking second place in the table, close behind Zonguldak Kömürspor for almost the entire season, they met Kömürspor on the last match day of all times. In the decisive away game, Adliyespor was only 1-0 down. In the last five minutes of the match, the team managed to turn the game around and win 2-1. After this victory, Adliyespor replaced Kömürspor as leader of the table and rose as champions for the first time in the club's history in the TFF 3rd Lig . With this, the club also achieved its first participation in Turkish professional football.
In July 2019, the club's management decided to change its name and renamed the club Çankaya FK .
