Elaziz Belediye Spor Kulubü or Elaziz Belediyespor for short , Elaziz Belediye SK or Elaziz BSK is a Turkish football club from the eastern Turkish city of Elazığ in the province of the same name and was founded here in 2014. The Elazığ City Administration's works association is the successor to the former Elazığ Belediyespor association . This heavily indebted club was dissolved after its relegation at the end of the 2013/14 season from the TFF 3rd Lig to the Boelgesel Amatoer Lig . Immediately after this dissolution, the city administration founded the Elaziz Belediyespor club . It is Elaziz often used older form of the actual city name Elazig . The team plays their home games at Elazığ Ataturk Stadı and the club colors are blue and red. Like the previous club, it has good relations with Elazığspor , which means that players can be given to each other on favorable terms.
history
Foundation and the first years
The club was founded in 1989 under the name Elazığ Belediye Spor Kulübü (in German: Sports Club of the City Administration of Elazığ ) by the then mayor Behçet Susmaz as a company sports club of the city administration. After the club was founded, the club played in the regional amateur leagues for a long time.
Promotion to the TFF 2nd Lig and system-related relegation to the TFF 3rd Lig
During the presidency of Hamza Yanılmaz the club finished the regional amateur league Malatya-Ceyhan undefeated as champions and rose for the first time in the club's history in the third highest Turkish league, in the 3rd league . In the league, the club established itself quickly and always occupied middle table positions.
Since Turkish professional football was to undergo fundamental changes in the 2001/02 season, preparations for this change were made in the 2000/01 season. So far, professional football in Turkey has consisted of three leagues: the top division, the single-lane Türkiye 1. Futbol Ligi , the second-rate five-lane and two-stage Türkiye 2. Futbol Ligi and the third-rate, eight -lane Türkiye 3. Futbol Ligi . For the 2001/02 season, professional football was expanded to four professional leagues. While the Türkiye 1. Futbol Ligi remained unchanged, the Türkiye 2. Futbol Ligi was now in the second highest division, the Türkiye 2. Futbol Ligi Aategorisi (to German: 2. Football League Category A of Turkey ), and the third highest division , the Türkiye 2. Futbol Ligi Bategorisi (to German: 2. Football League Category B of Turkey ), divided. The subordinate Türkiye 3rd Futbol Ligi was henceforth the fourth highest division, the TFF 3rd Lig . Those teams that only occupied a middle place in the table in the third division 2000/01 season were assigned to the newly created fourth-highest Turkish division, the 3rd league, for the coming season. Elazığ Belediyespor, which had finished the league in 10th place in the table, had to relegate to the 3rd Lig due to the system.
After this descent to the newly created TFF 3rd Lig in the summer of 2001 , the club resigned from the league on the grounds of financial problems. As a result, the Turkish Football Association rated all matches with a 3-0 defeat, which meant that the club was the first to be relegated at the start of the season.
Return to the TFF 3rd Lig
In the 2011/12 season, the club ended the Boelgesel Amatoer Lig (German regional amateur league ) as champions of Group 5 and rose again after ten years to the TFF 3rd Lig. The first fourth division season after this promotion ended in 14th place in the table.
Dissolution and re-establishment as Elaziz Belediyespor
After the club was relegated back to the amateur league in the summer of 2014, it was withdrawn from the league and then dissolved, following instructions from Elazığ's mayor, Mücahit Yanılmaz .
Immediately after the dissolution of the heavily indebted club, after its relegation at the end of the 2013/14 season from the TFF 3rd Lig to the Boelgesel Amatoer Lig, the city administration founded the Elaziz Belediyespor club . Elaziz is an older form of the name Elazığ that is often used . This club took part in the 2014/15 season at the Elazığ 1. Amatoer Ligi
Promotion to the TFF 3rd Lig
After the re-establishment as Elaziz Belediyespor, the club ended the first season, the 2014/15 season as the champion of the Elazığ 1. Amatoer Ligi and thus rose to the entry into the Boelgesel Amatoer Lig , the fifth highest Turkish league and the highest Turkish amateur class, on. Here the club played for the championship for a long time in the 2015/16 season, reached it at the end of the season and thus rose to the TFF 3rd Lig .
