Erzin Belediyespor is a Turkish football club from the city of Erzin in the southern Turkish province of Hatay and was founded in 1978.

history

founding

The club was founded in 1978 as a company sports club of the Erzins city council and played for many years in the Hatay Amatoer Ligi , the amateur league of the Hatay province.

Promotion to professional football

With the 2010/11 season, the club began to participate in the Boelgesel Amatoer Lig , the highest Turkish amateur league. In the 2013/14 season Erzin Belediyespor finished Group 3 as champions and qualified for the play-off phase. In the play-offs, the team prevailed 3-1 after extra time against 44 Malatyaspor and thus rose to the TFF 3rd Lig for the first time in the club's history . This rise also meant the club's first participation in Turkish professional football.
