İlker Erbay (born June 14, 1984 in Istanbul ) is a Turkish football player . As a homegrown he is associated with Galatasaray Istanbul .

Career

Erbay was born in the Sarıyer district of Istanbul and started playing club football in the youth of Galatasaray Istanbul . In the summer of 2002 he received a professional contract here and from spring 2003 he trained with the professionals in addition to his work with the reserve team. On the last day of the season he was substituted on by head coach Fatih Terim in the game against Gaziantepspor and made his professional debut. For the new season he was loaned to the first division side Elazığspor . After half a season, his loan deal with this club was dissolved and his contract with Galatasaray. In spring 2004 he then moved to the third division and the then fourth division Beylerbeyi SK . With this club he stayed until the end of the season, then hired at league rivals Mersin İdman Yurdu and after another season at Gaziantep Büyükşehir Belediyespor .

In the summer of 2006 he moved back to his old club Galatasaray and took part in the pre-season preparation camp. Here he was sorted out by head coach Eric Gerets and then loaned to the second division club Kocaelispor . In the summer of 2007, Erbay moved to the first division club Kayseri Erciyesspor , stayed here for a season and then moved on to Orduspor . In spring 2009 he returned to Kayseri Erciyesspor.

In the new season, Erbay moved to third division Tepecikspor and half a season later to league rivals Fethiyespor .

He later played in turn for Alanyaspor , Beypazarı Şekerspor and returned to Tepecikspor in the summer of 2012.

National team

Erbay played five times for the Turkish U-19 national team.
