Torbalıspor is a football club from Torbalı , Izmir Province . For several years the club played in the 3rd division , which is still the highest level that could be achieved.
history
Early years
Torbalıspor was founded in 1974 and played in regional amateur leagues up to and including 1985. 1985/86 they played for the first time in the 3rd division and could achieve a remarkable fifth place there. The following years Torbalıspor was able to assert itself in the league and played sometimes in the upper, sometimes in the lower quarter of the table. In the 1993/94 season you finally had to relegate as a knocked-down bottom of the table and with only 12 points. The rise from the regional amateur league succeeded in the year after next, so that from the 1996/1997 season (as Torbalı Belediyespor ) played again in the 3rd division. Up to and including the 2000/01 season Torbalıspor was able to establish itself again in the league, after the system change they played in the 2001/02 season in the newly introduced 4th league , where they were relegated to 16th place.
Modern times
After several years in the regional amateur leagues of Izmir, the club, meanwhile again with the old name, succeeded in advancing at the end of the 2006/07 season and thus returning to professional sport, where the class with ninth place could be held. In the 2010/11 season you had to relegate to the Boelgesel Amatoer Lig . Things went very badly for the club there, because at the end of the season they only had three points to show and couldn't win a game, so they were passed through to the regional amateur league, so to speak. Torbalıspor was able to get up again and rose in the 2014/15 season with 51 points and as first place directly from the İzmir Süper Amatoer Lig to the Boelgesel Amatoer Lig. You had to stay there again. Since then, Torbalıspor has played again in the İzmir Süper Amatoer Lig.
