Lüleburgazspor is a Turkish football club from Lüleburgaz , Kırklareli . The club has played in the Boelgesel Amatoer Lig since the 2012/13 season .

history

Lüleburgazspor was founded in 1967 with the merger of the two associations Adaletspor and Yeşilovaspor. The club began to play in the third Turkish division after it was founded and after five years became champions of the third division, which promoted him to the second division . After only one season in the second division, however, the club was relegated to the third division and spent another five unsuccessful years there, until it rose again to the second division after the 1978/79 season. The club played until the 1985/86 season in the second division, but could never reach the top Turkish league . In 1986 the club was relegated to the third division for the third time and could not move up for nine years. In 1995, the club rose again to the second division, but could only hold a year in the second division. This was followed by relegations to the amateur league. After the team became champions of the amateur league in the 2006/07 season, he rose to the fourth division .

The most important event in the club's history was reaching the semi-finals in the Turkish Cup in the 1979/80 season. The team threw Beşiktaş Istanbul in the round of 16 and Fenerbahçe Istanbul in the quarter-finals . In the semi-finals, the team met Altay Izmir and lost the first leg 4-1 and the second leg 2-1, which they were eliminated from the tournament.

After the 2011/12 season, the club rose again from the amateur league.
