The Türkiye 2. Futbol Ligi 1974/75 was the 12th season of the second highest Turkish league in professional men's football. It was started on September 21, 1974 with the 1st game day and ended on May 25, 1975 with the 30th and final game day.

In the 1974/75 season the TFF 1st Lig was divided into two groups, each with 16 teams, as in the previous season. A total of 32 teams played in two groups for promotion to the Süper Lig and against relegation to the then third-class TFF 3rd Lig . The only change to the preseason was the number of relegations reduced from four to two. In addition to the top two of the two groups who rose directly to the Süper Lig, from now on only the teams in the last places in the table should be relegated to the third-class 3rd Lig.

At the beginning of the season, the two relegated teams from the Süper Lig Mersin İdman Yurdu , Vefa Istanbul and the four newly promoted teams from the then third-class TFF 3rd Lig MKE Kırıkkalespor , Çorumspor , DÇ Karabükspor , Rizespor were added to the 28 teams remaining from the previous season . Kırıkkalespor and Çorumspor took part in the competition of the 2nd Lig for the first time.

Orduspor reached the championship of the group red and thus the first participation in the Süper Lig . In the white group , Balıkesirspor secured the championship and also took part in the Süper for the first time. The Turkish Football Association had the champions of the league determined by a playoff between the two first-placed teams. In this encounter, Orduspor met against Balıkesirspor and won the championship with a 4-1 win. However, the Turkish Football Association later declared both clubs to be champions of the TFF 1st Lig.

At the end of the season it was clear from the red group İstanbulspor and from the white group Uşakspor as relegated. So İstanbulspor rose for the first time in its club history in the third highest Turkish league.
